Judge for Weaving - Daryl Lancaster

Daryl Lancaster received her BA in Fine Arts in 1977 from Montclair State University. She was a production weaver for 10 years, selling her work through various craft markets and galleries in the Northeast. She began teaching, and found the ability to guide and inspire other Handweavers in the necessary skills to create their own well fitted and well constructed garments. Daryl has been sewing for more than 40 years, and teaches Garment Construction and related topics to weavers and other fiber enthusiasts across North America. She was the Contributing Features Editor for six years, for Handwoven Magazine from Interweave Press and wrote the Fashion and Color Forecast Column. She continues to contribute articles and essays to various weaving publications and maintains a blog linking life and the creative process. A breast cancer survivor, she uses her work as a vehicle to express who she is and the path that she has traveled. Daryl lives in northern New Jersey (Morris County) with her husband and two teenage children.

Judge for Felting - Lisa Klakulak

Lisa Klakulak received a BFA in Fiber Arts in 1997 from Colorado State University and was an Artist in Residence at the Appalachian Center for Craft from 2002- 2005 where she focused on an in-depth exploration of the felt medium. Currently, Klakulak creates wearable textiles, accessories and sculpture in her Asheville, NC studio and frequently travels across the country to instruct workshops focused on felting techniques. Her work is exhibited at Penland Gallery (NC), Grovewood Gallery (NC), Julie: Artisan's Gallery (NY) and at national fiber and fine craft exhibitions. Klakulak's work has appeared in Fiber Arts, Surface Design Journal, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot and Interweave Press's Special Felt Issue and has been included in Felted Jewelry, Fabulous Felted Scarves and Neck Wraps, 500 Pendants (Lark) and in How We Felt (Interweave Press).

Judge for Spinning - Tina Feir

Tina Feir is the owner of Gatecity Yarns in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tina's area of expertise is hand spinning, and she has held the position of recorder for HGA's Certificate of Excellence in Spinning judging. Gatecity Yarns supports felters, spinners, and weavers by offering a broad selection of materials and yarns for fiber artists. Tina's shop offers classes in spinning, knit and crochet, weaving and more.
