2003 Sheep to Shawl Demonstration
Our sheep, a Border Leichester, is sheared.
The carders and spinners got busy. The wool is visible on a table in the upper right corner.
Later, at least one carders took a break
The weavers were ready with their looms warped and went right to work.
We were lucky enough to have two looms, two weavers, and enough carders and spinners to keep them busy.
People dropped by to watch, to talk, and even to help as the day went on.
The finished shawls were given to team members at a drawing.
